A walking tour of the old city of Phuket is an excellent way to return to its Sino-Portuguese past, that made the city the center of the tin mining industry in Thailand decades ago. Today, Phuket’s old town is full of trendy cafes, old shops restored and painted in bright colors, and sanctuaries. Take the opportunity to visit the night market that takes place every weekend, where a lot of different stalls will be waiting for you. Sail in Phang Nga Bay
One of the most typical activities in Phuket is a boat trip through the spectacular limestone islands of Phang Nga Bay, with occasional stops to enjoy the scenery and quiet beaches. Looking like a real postcard, this bay extends between Phuket and Krabi province. You should stop to see some of the most famous islands of the bay such as Koh Panyee or the island of James Bond, known to have appeared in the “Man with the Golden gun” movie.
